A new adventure in ministry.

December 2025

Dear Friends and Family,

"The greatest risk I ever took on my journey was that of never setting off."

This quote has inspired me in many seasons of my life. It was pinned by Brazilian adventurer Amyr Klink, who in the 1980s crossed the southern Atlantic, from Namibia to Brazil, in 1984, rowing solo in one hundred days. Our calling by Christ must lead us in faith to overcome fear and procrastination. Worse than not finishing a trip is never leaving; in a life of faith in Christ, stagnation is the real risk of failure, not the possibility of an incomplete endeavor from our perspective.

“Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14 NASB

And so, Telma and I set out on a journey into a new season of life and ministry.

We have been invited to join the staff at a Cedar Bay Camp and Retreat Center. Cedar Bay’s focus is to nurture the family unit so that it can thrive and impact the world for Christ, by reducing distractions, offering a family-nurturing environment, and applying God’s Word.

Today, Cedar Bay Camp & Retreat Center is under the direction of the Forest Springs Ministries Board of Directors and Mission Agency. It is located in Cedarville, Michigan, on the north shore of Lake Huron, stewarding 512 acres of woodlands and 6 miles of waterfront, serving nearly 5000 people a year.

We will have more info soon.

We would like to wish you and your family a blessed holiday season, celebrating the gift of forgiveness given to us through Jesus Christ.

May God bless you and your family!
